What to expect?
Once you’ve booked your chiropractic appointment at Chiropractic Touch, we’ll send you an email with a link to set up your profile and complete your new patient forms online—super simple and saves time on the day. If you’re unable to fill out the form online beforehand, no problem—just make sure to arrive at the practice 10 minutes early so you have time to complete a papercopy before your appointment.
For your first visit, we recommend wearing something comfortable and arriving a few minutes earlier so you can park easily at Shore City Shopping Centre, which offers 2 hours of free parking.
Your First Visit
When you arrive, our friendly receptionist will be there to welcome you and help you settle in. You’ll then meet with your chiropractor for your consultation, where they’ll take the time to really listen—getting to know your health history, any current concerns, and what you’re hoping to achieve with care.
Next, we’ll carry out a thorough assessment, which includes checking your spine, as well as any orthopaedic and/or neurological tests pertinent to your presentation. As part of your initial visit, we also use advanced Insight Scans to help us better understand how your nervous system is functioning. These non-invasive scans give us a deeper look at how your body is adapting to stress. There are three types we use: thermography, which measures temperature differences along your spine; sEMG (surface electromyography), which assesses muscle activity and tension; and HRV (Heart Rate Variability), which gives insight into how well your body is balancing and recovering from stress. Together, these scans help us tailor your chiropractic care to exactly what your body needs.
If x-rays are warrated, we will refer you to one of the local radiologist centers that’s most convenient to you. You can expect your initial consultation to take around 30–40 minutes.
